About Clever Curl
Clever Curl was created by a group of curl specialists inspired by the Curly Girl Method. Clever Curl products are carefully formulated to help strengthen, moisturise, hold and protect each and every curl type including our wavy, coily and kinky friends.

What is the Curly Girl Method?
The Curly Girl Method, originally created by hairstylist and curl advocate Lorraine Massey, who wrote Curly Girl: The Handbook, is a specific approach to the care and maintenance of all types of curly hair to enhance the natural beauty of the hair without the use of synthetic or cosmetic enhancements. The Curly Girl Method involves a four step approach of cleansing, conditioning, styling and drying.
1) Cleanse: No poo or co-wash to cleanse away dirt, oils and build up.
2) Condition: With preferred amount of conditioner. (Popular techniques are the 'squish to condish' and 'roping' methods).
3) Styling: Most commonly with creams, foams and strong hold gels. (Popular techniques are the 'praying hands', 'raking' and 'scrunching' methods).
4) Dry: Slow gentle drying is imperative. (Popular techniques are to 'plop' and then air dry or gently blow dry with a diffuser). Once the hair is 100% dry, apply the 'scrunch out the crunch' technique to reveal soft, bouncy curls!
