If you find that within a day of shampooing your hair it once again looks stringy and dirty then you, like millions of others, have oily hair.
Sebum, the natural oil produced by the oil glands, is secreted to protect your hair shafts from breaking. A certain amount of oil secretion from oil glands on the scalp is healthy and necessary. Oil also gives your hair luster and shine. However there is such thing as too much of a good thing. Too much oil makes your hait look geasy or dirty and can promote Dandruff
There is a solution:
Shampoo often. Don't worry about overdoing it.
Use a specialist shampoo that is formulated for oily hair.
Shampoo rinse and repeat. This is not a scheme to sell shampoo. The more excess oil you remove the better for oily hair. Whatever shampoo you use, be sure you rinse thoroughly. Soap residue will only collect dirt and oil more quickly.
Use conditioners sparingly. Apply a small amount of conditioner only to the ends if they've become dried out.
